Notice: 2nd SHIFT ANNOUNCEMENT:  We have changed our 2nd shift hours!  We are now working 3:30 pm to 2:00 am Monday through Thursday.  This means that employees are only required to work 4 days with a 3-day weekend.  Overtime is available on Friday night, if they elect it.  Overtime at Conval is never mandatory.

Utility Worker (1st shift) – Load, unload and move materials within or near plant.  Count, weigh and record number of units of material moved or handled.  Mark, wash, paint and assemble parts per routings, SEI’s and verbal instructions.  Debur parts per blueprints or as required.  Load, unload gauge and operate Bullards and CNC lathes.  A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) or six months’ to one year of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Machinist (1st shift) Experienced machinist needed to plan, set-up, and operate various types of machine tools and metal cutting equipment, such as millers and lathes.  Perform progressive machining and assembly operations on a variety of standard parts and equipment.  Work from blueprints, operation sheets, and verbal orders with a minimum of supervision.  Position requires a good knowledge of machines and metals based on 2-4 years of machining experience and the ability to use a variety of precision measuring instruments.  Protrak experience helpful.

Open Human Resources Clerk (Part Time – 35-40 hours per week) – Flexible, discrete, detail-oriented individual needed to provide clerical support.  Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required.  Prior Human Resources experience preferred. 
Open Production Planner – Individual needed to initiate job orders used to manufacture and assemble products and material requisitions used to purchase raw materials.  Three to five years of related manufacturing planning experience required.  Experience with MRP and knowledge of valve parts preferred. 
Open Manufacturing Engineering Technician – Individual needed to develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing methods.  Develops routings, CNC programs, and operation sheets.  Analyzes and plans space requirements and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.  Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.  Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.  Estimates production times and related costs to provide information for management decisions.  Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or two years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required
Open Receiver Individual needed to receive and issue parts and materials using material handling equipment as necessary.  Must have he ability to keep accurate records.  High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required

Inspector (2nd shift) – Individual needed with general inspection mathematical skills associated with machine shop environment.  Must be able to read and interpret drawings and internal specifications.  Must be capable of using standard inspection gauging and mechanical test equipment.  Computer literacy and CMM experience a plus.  This position also requires some visual inspection experience associated with welding and brazing.  Qualified individual must be able to pass written qualification requirements.  Will train qualified individual.

Combination Welder (2nd shift) – Perform and qualify welding operations using both arc and gas welding equipment.  Working from sketches and blueprints, fabricate or repair products such as valve bodies, bonnets, yokes, stems, and other parts in accordance with established procedures and specifications.  Must be able to qualify to ASME Code Requirements.  Good understanding of machines parts fit-up background preferred.  Good understanding of manual we4lding processes and prior welding experience necessary.

Open Sales Account Representative -- A position is available in the Sales Department.  This individual will be responsible for matching customer requirements to Conval products, preparing quotes, following up on status of customer orders and coordinating with Conval outside sales representatives and departments within Conval to satisfy customer requirements.  This position requires an Associates Degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  PC literacy, preferably in Word for Windows, Excel and Access is desirable.
