El casquillo del v\u00e1stago se aloja libremente en un hueco en la parte superior de la horquilla y se carga mediante una serie de arandelas Belleville. Estas arandelas mantienen la carga, empujando el conjunto del v\u00e1stago hacia abajo, incluso cuando la horquilla se dilata debido a las altas temperaturas de una refiner\u00eda o un incendio qu\u00edmico.<\/p><p>La v\u00e1lvula Clampseal\u00ae ign\u00edfuga de Conval ha sido probada y superada con \u00e9xito el riguroso procedimiento de prueba definido por la norma 6FA del Instituto Americano del Petr\u00f3leo (API). En resumen, este procedimiento requiere que la v\u00e1lvula de prueba se coloque en l\u00ednea y se presurice a una presi\u00f3n nominal de 75%, para luego someterla a un incendio de 1400-1800 \u00b0F durante 30 minutos.
