{"id":2926,"date":"2021-06-08T19:21:46","date_gmt":"2021-06-08T19:21:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.conval.com\/?p=2926"},"modified":"2021-06-08T19:21:47","modified_gmt":"2021-06-08T19:21:47","slug":"update-on-convals-nuclear-program-nupic-audit-and-asme-renewal-survey","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.conval.com\/es\/update-on-convals-nuclear-program-nupic-audit-and-asme-renewal-survey\/","title":{"rendered":"UPDATE ON CONVAL\u2019S NUCLEAR PROGRAM \u2013 NUPIC AUDIT AND ASME RENEWAL SURVEY"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The months of April and May saw Conval audited by two separate organizations for the purpose of determining the acceptability and implementation of our nuclear quality assurance program.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On April 26<sup>th<\/sup>, the Nuclear Procurement Issues Corporation (NUPIC), an organization made up of domestic and international member utilities, arrived with a team of seven auditors, representing Dominion Energy (2), PG&amp;E, Exelon (2), AEP, and Duke Energy.&nbsp; The results of the audit were positive, and the team exited on Friday April 30<sup>th<\/sup>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On May 11<sup>th<\/sup>, representatives from ASME, the National Board and Conval\u2019s Authorized Inspection Agency (OneCIS) began a survey\/audit for the purpose of renewing Conval\u2019s N and NPT Certificates of Authorization.&nbsp; The team exited on May 14<sup>th<\/sup>, and will make a recommendation to ASME to renew the subject Certificates of Authorization.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Conval remains committed to supporting operating nuclear power plants, as well as those being designed and constructed, with our world class globe, gate, check, ball and bellow seal valves, proudly designed and manufactured in the U.S.&nbsp;
