CLAMPSEAL® Globe Valves are tailored to the exact requirements of our customers. No other severe service forged valve offers so many options. Conval provides three globe valve body styles, Y, Angle, and T-Pattern, in ASME pressure classes through 4500 and five standard materials. Other materials are available to meet customer needs. The easy interchangeability of parts means that an entire plant installation can be supported with a very low parts inventory.

The CLAMPSEAL® packing system incorporates corrosion-inhibited, high-density graphitic packing. Uniform loading from the axial one-piece gland and the highly polished stainless steel stem and stuffing box ensure a tight seal between packing material and sealing surfaces.
The CLAMPSEAL® globe valve is much easier to repair than anything else on the market, and provides a cost effective alternative to replacement. Low first cost is not as important as low cost over the serviceable life of a valve. The CLAMPSEAL® globe valve line also provides a modular solution to rising maintenance expense.
In extreme environments, the simpler the design and the fewer the parts, the better. The durable single-piece stainless steel gland contributes to the longevity of the valve.
The Axial design ensures tight concentricity, which eliminates side loading of the packing and minimizes wear forces on the trim components. This feature is critical for superior valve performance.
The CLAMPSEAL® pressure-actuated backseat provides maximum valve integrity by ensuring a positive internal seal between the packing and the valve stem and disc assembly.
Globe valves are linear-motion valves that stop, start, and regulate the flow of liquids and gases through process systems. These valves are precisely designed to accommodate specific ranges of flow control and pressure drops, which enables them to avoid premature failure and ensures optimal performance and service. Clampseal globes can be supplied with special trim for throttling (control) applications.
The Clampseal globe valve can be supplied with any of three of body styles, Angle, Y-pattern and T-pattern. The rest of the valve stays the same, but the body style choice results in different characteristics and performance. The Y-pattern body is also available with integrally forged Grayloc® ends.
Angle Globe Valves
As the name implies, angle globe valves channel fluids at 90° angles The angle valve is frequently specified when a valve is needed close to an elbow as combining the valve and the elbow will save weight and welds resulting in lower cost.
Y-Pattern Globe Valves
Y-pattern globe valves position their seat and stem at a 50° angle, which allows for a straighter flow path at the full opening. This attribute also provides the least flow resistance, which enables the entire system to work more efficiently.
T-Pattern Globe Valves
T-pattern globe valves position their seat and stem at a 90° angle, which places the handle or actuator directly above the valve at the expense of lower flow than the Y-Pattern. This configuration can be an advantage in supporting an actuator.
We stock our forged bodies in A105, F22, F91 & F316 as standard materials. We have provided our customers with valves in over 30 alloys such as F92, Inconel®, Incoloy®, Monel®, Hastelloy®, F347, F53, Sandvik 2RE69, and UNS S31050 to meet their particular requirements. We consider it one of our strengths that we can supply any alloy that the customer wants.
The customer specifies how they want to insert the valve into their pipeline. We offer:
The modular nature of the Clampseal valve allows us to easily reconfigure a standard stop valve into many different configurations. We have supplied:
